50 Cent unleashes new music video, then delivers the "Before I Self Destruct" release date.
written by Abdul Spadez - July 2nd, 2009
50 Cent is on a media rampage lately isn't he? First he releases his War Angel LP, a mixtape featuring 12 album quality cuts for free on his social networking site. Then, he's releasing another one on Friday, "Forever King," and then... we have this - the official music video for the song, "Ok, You're Right," that debuted earlier today at 7:01pm across the web.

The video is actually starts off to be something out of a horror/heist film, with frozen shots of police having a shootout with men wearing clown masks to an eerie instrumental. Then after one fires two shots from a shotgun, the video picks up to a clown in what appears to be in a hollow room, which later is revealed to be 50.

What you guys think? 50 killing it, or does the video not seem to flow right?
Also on the eve of the video's release, the official date was also announced for what is proposed to be his final album with Interscope Records, "Before I Self Destruct,".

According to an official release from the label, the album, which will feature production from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Swizz Beatz, and Timbaland, will be released on September 8th.

I'll be the first to admit I am going to take this date with a grain of salt, as the same album was to be released December 9th of last year when "Get Up," was to be the official jam. To me, Get Up is the hotter jam of the two tracks, but there is something about 50's swag mixed with the 808's of the production that I like. And if there is anyone that doesn't think the hook is straight flame, tell me why. I wanna know...

At the end of the day, I was hoping that 50 would kill the staple of two verse songs and at least have added a bridge in it, but for what it's worth, this is the first time in awhile that I can see that he is musically hungry again. Whether he feels the pressure of matching Eminem's, "Relapse," deading the critics who bashed his last release, or the fact he wants to go out in a blaze of glory, the old 50 is returning... but for how long?

Guess we'll find out, as 50 Cent's, "Before I Self Destruct," will be released on September 8th on Shady/Aftermath/Interscope Records.
